Maine! A recap of Sunday's trip...

Welcome to York!

First stop: Flo's Hot Dogs. A must have. I order it just with the special sauce, but you can order it any way you like :-)

Doesn't look like much on the outside... you may even drive right by it the first time by accident!

Next stop: A walk along Marginal Way (too much snow this time but we will next time we visit in the Spring).

Then on to Perkins Cove!

Cute fishing cottages turned into shops!

I have my eye on this one. I'll be back when it opens for the season.

Sea Glass anyone?

My favorite two places in the area... so nice!

Great shot of Rosie and Mr. S

Isn't that cute! A St. Patrick Lobster Trap Tree :-)

Finally, no visit to York and the surrounding are is complete without Stonewall Kitchen.

Thanks for joining me on my visit to Southern Maine!

  1. It looks beautiful and perfect! Envious!

  2. Looks like a fun weekend! When our daughter was about four we vacationed in Maine and stopped into Stonewall Kitchens to see their gardens. As it turned out the gardens were being photographed for a magazine shoot, and our little darling was invited to be in a few shots. We didn't think too much more about it until we received a copy of the magazine in the mail (La Vie Claire, sadly no longer in publication). About a year later, the photographer contacted us for permission to use the photos in a book titled Maine Gardening Style II. Now, we have a wonderful book as a souvenir of a wonderful trip. And, oh, were her brothers ever jealous!

  3. Wow, Town and Country Mom, what an amazing keepsake and story! You can add me to the jealousy list :-)

  4. I visited Stonewall last summer, so great! Love Maine.

Thank you for visiting. Feel free to leave a comment!
